Worcester Full & Half Marathon 2013

Congratulations to everyone who ran today in very blustery conditions, and many thanks for supporting Worcester Marathon and Half Marathon with such enthusiam and lots of smiles - even those of you daft enough to run all 26 miles! We owe a massive thank you to all the marshals and helpers who guided and cheered you on for over five hours.

Results will be posted as soon as we can - we have only just finished clearing up (it takes a long time to pick up 17 miles of water bottles!) and as we want to get them as accurate as possible this will not be tonight but tomorrow, Monday.

Half marathon results will go up very shortly, we had some equipment issues because of the windy weather, this has delayed the results slightly and we want to present accurate results.

New Title Sponsor

For 2013 we are very pleased to welcome Nuffield Heath as our title sponsor. Nuffield will be providing a number of massage therapists who will sooth your tired legs and bodies when you've finished your race . They will also be helping out marshaling the finish area and will be handing you bottles of water to quench your thirst and of course your well earned technical race T-shirt. Plus a number of staff members and club members will be taking on running the race itself.

The club has a good sized gym which contains essential gym equipment that will aid injury prevention and help strengthen your "running" muscles. Charity Partner

Like last year our Charity partner for this event is St Richards Hospice.  Providing care for patients and families in Worcestershire who are living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.  Each year they give free care and support to around 2,300 patients and their families.  They are also fantastic supporters of Worcester Full & Half Marathon helping to provide lots of marshals who will be cheering you on during your race.  We strongly encourage you to do your bit and help raise money for this inspirational charity.
